raceTonic – ver 0.2 beta

Hello everyone!

I’m very happy (and after a bunch of long evenings and missed deadlines I set for myself) to release the public beta 0.2 of raceTonic!

In short, here’s what I’ve accomplished:

  • updated the graphics
  • optimized the game
  • applied new knowledge to track modeling
  • improved mechanics and tweaked the physics. The platform is still Android-only; please wait for iOS.

The physics situation is as follows: to avoid creating a slew of content on a shaky foundation, I temporarily removed most of the cars and tracks. First, I need to figure out which physics model will be the primary one, and then confidently create cars for release.

That’s why your honest and detailed feedback is so important to me. Thank you to everyone who tries it out and writes! The plans include new content, new locations, new modes, and, of course, racing against bots.
Thank you
