FAQ

Why?

Out of curiosity. A hobby.

The idea was to add different/interesting/ordinary/favorite/(un)interesting cars, favorite tracks, and just have fun and learn something. A lot of the “favorite” stuff isn’t in other games. That’s why. Along the way, I realized that before adding content, I needed to really work on the base. And off we go.

I love time attack. But a game solely about time attack is likely boring and niche. First, I added an online leaderboard so I could compete with people. And now, I just need to continue developing it to include classic racing against AI.

About what?

For now, I don’t plan to stick to any specific guidelines (for example, only rally racing, or only driving in circles with specific cars). On the one hand, this complicates the process and creates uncertainty. On the other hand, it’s a great chance to experiment, create, and diversify. One way or another, the audience will influence the serious development of the project.

About different cars and tracks. With a bit of nostalgia.

Current status of the game?

The game is in early development status, although it took a very long time to get there, without experience, through experiments.

Where can i sing up for beta?

Discord and Patreon under development now. Soon it will be done and interested players can have free access to beta.

What platforms is raceTonic available on?

Currently, it’s only available on Android, for ease of development and testing. A public release will also be available on iOS.

There are plans for a PC release. It’s not difficult, but it’s not a priority right now.

Will it run on low-end phones?

I’m testing it on a budget 2020 phone with Android 10. It must be OK

Is it free on your phone? Without pop-up ads?

Yes. Without Ad.

What does the project need now?

Time and, most importantly, your support. Testing the build, constructive feedback, and well-founded suggestions. The project’s beginnings and the people at the forefront are crucial. I’m also open to assistance from specialists in various fields.

For a brief “Game Roadmap” is available on the main page.
